At Northfield Church, our faith is built on the foundation of God’s Word. These core beliefs shape our worship, our community, and our mission as we follow Jesus together.
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that none may add or take away from it. (Revelation 22:18-19; Deuteronomy 4:2; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1)
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 14:9-28)
We believe the Church consists of all who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and made new in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:22; Matthew 16:18)
We believe that all have sinned, but through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, all who believe and confess Him as Lord are saved. (Romans 3:23; John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe baptism is the first step of obedience after committing to Christ, a public declaration of faith and new life in Him.
We believe Jesus Christ is our healer and that healing is provided through the atonement. (James 5:15-16; Matthew 9:35; Luke 6:19)
We believe in the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ to receive to Himself all born-again believers. (John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
We believe the Church should embrace and express the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
